Business Development Executive (Apprenticeships)

Salary – £26k - £35k (dependant on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Business Development Executive you will focus on developing strong relationships with employers across the North East area and will be a client-facing, partly field-based role covering a set territory. The role involves developing relationships and networks within the north east business community, encouraging employers to consider the benefit of growing and developing their own talent by hiring apprentices.
Duties include:
- Identifying and targeting directors/decision makers of target businesses.
- Converting qualified opportunities to our clients services.
- Face-to-face consultations with potential clients to carry out Health and Safety checks and deliver thorough IAG.
- Generating further client referrals.
- Undertaking market research/analysis.
- Staying up-to-date and ahead of industry developments, legislation, compliance etc.
- To assist Senior Management with establishing and implementing business development and marketing strategy for any designated geographical area/sector.
- Working hand in hand with the wider business to support both learner and employer outcomes.
- Ensuring sales outcomes are achieved in line with team & individual KPI’s.

What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who has some sales experience and who is looking for their first field based opportunity. You’ll need to demonstrate:
- A tenacious, can-do attitude with resilience and focus.
- Excellent time and diary management skills.
- The commercial acumen to understand clients’ challenges and match them with effective training solutions.
- Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline.
- Accurate forecasting and activity recording.
- The ability to recognise when to close and when to walk away.
- Outstanding relationship-building and customer management skills.
You’ll be motivated by a clear sense of purpose and a strong understanding of the “why” behind your goals, using that drive to fuel your determination and success in the role.
Transport and a full drivers licence is essential.
