Our client is one of the UK's most established engineering businesses, with decades of success supplying world-class industrial engine solutions into the construction, power generation, equipment manufacturing and rental sectors.  Their reputation hasn't been built through aggressive sales tactics. As the business continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their Industrial Division.

The Role

 

You'll be responsible for managing and developing customers across your territory, helping them specify and source the right industrial engine solutions for their applications. 

 

Working closely with internal engineering, service and technical teams, you'll build tailored solutions rather than simply selling products from a catalogue.

You'll also keep a close eye on market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities, helping shape future sales strategy while representing the business at industry exhibitions and events.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

 About You

 

You'll already be selling diesel engines or closely related industrial equipment.  You'll understand the technical conversations that customers expect to have, but you'll also appreciate that the strongest commercial relationships are built through trust, reliability and delivering genuine value.

 

We're looking for someone who brings:

 

Experience within engine distribution, application engineering or a mechanical engineering background would certainly be welcomed, but just as important is your ability to build trusted customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
