Fleet Controller
Basic Salary: £29k-£32k (dependent upon experience)
Location: Harrogate

ROLE PURPOSE
To ensure the prompt and accurate authorization of necessary service and repair work to our fleet of vehicles, both car and commercial. Working within company guidelines and policy you will use your experience to minimize unnecessary repair costs and reduce maintenance expenditure. You will provide a high level of customer liaison assisting customers and drivers in a helpful, friendly and professional manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To be promptly respond to maintenance and repair requests and authorize or adjust as appropriate.
- To assist customers and drivers in queries and SMR issues in a helpful, friendly and professional manner.
- To comply with laid down policies and to complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
- To work with a minimum of supervision but with the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
- To complete all tasks reasonably requested by the Maintenance Manager and to feedback progress within an acceptable period.
- To work within pre-set parameters prepared by the management team.
- To maintain industry knowledge and keep up to date with manufacturer vehicle technical bulletins.
- To consistently present a professional image to our prospects/customers.
- To facilitate service recalls and MOT reminders.
- To ensure that all customer records i.e. computer database and central file information outlining the customers general requirements are current and accurate.
- To identify problems or innovative ideas and to recommend ways of resolving or implementing them to Management.
- To process invoices and recharges as requested.
- To attend agreed training courses, both in-house and external.
ABOUT YOU
You will have an automotive maintenance background with a strong technical knowledge and industry recognized qualification. Proven record of providing customers with a high level of support and customer satisfaction.
And you will have:
- The ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and strong communication skills.
- The ability to demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- An ability to build long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers.
- An ability to work effectively, be self-motivated and committed to exceeding customer expectations.
